Why do you think this is your most successful image?

I think the photo of the Terracotta Army is my most successful image because it captures both historical depth and visual impact. The repeating patterns of the figures and the natural lighting highlight the texture and detail of the ancient sculptures, creating a strong sense of presence.

What was the most challenging aspect of this assignment?

The most challenging part was choosing the right photo category for each image. Some photos could fit more than one type, so I had to think carefully about the purpose and meaning behind each shot.

What will you do in future assignments to create stronger images?

In future assignments, I’ll pay closer attention to composition and lighting to better support the message I want to convey. I’ll also take more time to consider the emotional or intellectual response I want viewers to have when they see my images.

Comment: This is a peaceful and calming shot—the open field draws the viewer’s eye toward the horizon, and the tree in the foreground adds a nice sense of depth. Great use of natural framing!

The terracotta army is something I've always wanted to see so my comment might be biased but other than the beauty of the sculptures the landmark holds so much historic value and the preservation the pieces has always fascinated me because of how fragile they look. This photo is the definition of repetition but the symmetry and angle of the photograph that shows the whole army is very well done, I also noticed the two point perspective of the stone walls that leads the viewer from the front to the back of the soldiers that signifies the depth of the trenches and makes it seem like there's more soldiers than there actually is.
