I really enjoyed this video — it gave me a much deeper appreciation for Berenice Abbott’s photography. I’ve seen photos like New York Harbor before, but I never thought about how much thought goes into the angles, lighting, and scale.
I also liked how you connected her work to ideas from Criticizing Photography — especially the part about “control of the medium” and intentional framing. It showed you really understood how her style fits into straight photography and modernism.
If anything, I think slowing down a bit when introducing each photo would give the viewer more time to take in the details before the analysis starts. Maybe a close-up or slow zoom on key parts of the photo could help, too.
